Lean Operational Management as a fundament of a Lean organization

Operational management is an important part of the effectiveness of each organization. Operational management is the daily management of the organizations’ operational processes. First thing to realize that's your organization has to deliver the wishes of your customers each day. The voice of the customer must be clear for everybody in the organization.

Another idea for getting closer to your customer is that you organize a customer arena, in which employees can observe the customers' dialogue debating on the current and expected service levels. The second subject is the employability and the engagement of your employees. They are the most important drivers to realize your targets. To have a good understanding with your employees, you have to coach them at least twice a month, but we advise once a week.

The last central theme is to organize a daily standup meeting. In the daily standup the employees can tell each other what they expect to do and if they need some help. The daily standup stimulates the collaboration and give you as a manager important information on what the most important topics are. Besides, it gives you a lot of inspiration to improve your organization.
